PlaceLondon, England
Created byDouglas Ankrah
Douglas Ankrah created this cheeky modern hit in 2002 in London, originally naming it the Maverick Martini after a Cape Town club. Vanilla vodka and passion fruit are served with a shot of Champagne on the side. Its provocative name and passion-fruit garnish made it wildly popular. It is now one of Britain's best-selling cocktails.
