History
The Tipperary is an Irish whiskey cocktail with sweet vermouth and green Chartreuse, printed in Hugo Ensslin's 1917 recipe book. The herbal Chartreuse gives this Manhattan-style drink a distinctive green, minty edge. Its name nods to the famous wartime marching song. It is a lesser-known but rewarding vintage stirred drink.
