Good to know
- Press the seeds yourself if you can — shop juice is usually sweetened and much darker.
- Pour the Prosecco slowly down the side; pomegranate foams more than peach.
History
PlaceVenice, Italy
Named after the Venetian painter Jacopo Tintoretto and named in the Bellini family as the pomegranate variation. Pomegranate brings tannin and acidity the peach original does not have, so it drinks drier and darker. It comes into its own in autumn, when the fruit is actually in season.
