History
Ngiam Tong Boon is credited with creating the Singapore Sling around 1915 at the Long Bar of Raffles Hotel. This tropical gin sling blends cherry brandy, pineapple, citrus and liqueurs into a rosy, fruity long drink. It became a symbol of colonial-era Southeast Asian glamour. The exact original recipe has been much debated and reconstructed over the years.
