The Rusty Nail is simply Scotch whisky sweetened and softened with Drambuie, the Scottish honey-and-herb liqueur. The combination goes back decades but became fashionable in the mid-20th century, notably at New York's Club 21. It is warming, smooth and ideal as a nightcap. Adjust the Drambuie to suit your sweet tooth.
