History
One of Brazil's best-known drinks, Rabo de Galo — "rooster's tail," a literal cocktail — pairs cachaça with sweet vermouth. It emerged in 1950s São Paulo after a Cinzano factory opened locally. Often served as a shot in humble bars, it has since climbed onto cocktail menus, sometimes with Cynar added. Proportions vary widely from region to region.
