History
Popularised by Harry Craddock in his 1930 Savoy Cocktail Book, this "hair of the dog" mixes gin, Cointreau, Lillet and lemon, rinsed with absinthe. Craddock wryly warned that four taken in quick succession would revive the corpse again. Bright, crisp and deceptively strong, it is the most famous of the Corpse Reviver family. It remains a bartender's go-to eye-opener.
